  • Study daily even as little as a few minutes. Don't plan on catching up all in the weekends.
  • Utilize the time between activities, e.g. while waiting & on the bus, walking to the next class, and etc.
  • Have "study-buddies" for mutual encouragement.
  • Prioritize your weekly schedule for three-hours-per-credit-per-week formula. For a 5 credit course, students are expected to study 15 hours including the classroom time to obtain a B grade.

Student Photography Policy

During the course of instruction, faculty and staff of Seattle Central College may take photos or video recording of classroom and lab training time for use in both documenting the instructional process and to promote the courses. These photographs or videos may be used in presentations, advertisements and marketing products. Students wishing to be excluded from these photos are asked to notify the photographer or the videographer that they do not want to be included in the photographs.

Assignment and Exam Policies

  • Late Assignment – {list policy and exceptions.
    e.g.: Life often gets in the way of study. To accommodate that, you have two(2) Late Passes. To use a Late Pass, you must
    • Notify the instructor before the assignment is actually due. Anytime before the actual midnight deadline is fine.
    • Your request will be approved as long as you have late passes remaining. Thus, you do not need to wait for a response, as all requests will be approved.
    • Turn in the assignment within four(4) calendar days of the due date with a note that it is being submitted late with a late pass.
    • Only one late pass per assignment.

Academic Dishonesty and Student Responsibility

Students are expected to follow the Student Responsibility listed on page 40 of the Student Handbook. Cheating, plagiarism, and other forms of academic dishonesty are unacceptable in my class and at Seattle Central College and are subject to disciplinary action by the college.

According to the Student Handbook (page 41), the instructors have Disciplinary Sanctions to follow stated in Washington Administrative Code, WAC 132F-121-110. Student Responsibility (page 40 of the Student Handbook.
