Change Settings During Meeting

In a Teams Meeting, you can change the meeting options at any point during the meeting. This means you can change who can present and who can bypass the lobby from the original meeting settings. In these settings you can change Security, Audio visual, Engagement and Roles.

Accessing Meeting Options

From the Teams Toolbar

Click on More Actions (three dots)
Click Settings
Click Meeting options

Here is a meeting change you might wish to make

You have the freedom to choose what changes you make, here is a possible change you might want to make once you have started your meeting.

Automatically Admit Participants

Why: Avoid having to manually admit attendees, especially in large meetings or during presentations.
How: Change the lobby settings to allow everyone, or specific groups like LWTech students or staff, to bypass the waiting room. Best Practice is to allow those within your Org (LWTech) to bypass the lobby, this ensures all attendees are signed in to their LWTech account and can view all shared content and participate fully.

Select who can admit from the lobby.
Enable the Green room.
The Green Room in Microsoft Teams is a virtual backstage area designed to enhance meeting and webinar experiences. It allows presenters and organizers to prepare privately before the event starts. Presenters can use this space to review content, discuss roles, or make final adjustments without being visible or audible to attendees.
